In all reality I think the best we could expect is $.33, which would be comparable to Saudi Arabia and which is the maximum feasible given Iraq's current and future financial outlook, according some economic experts.

At Dinar Rumor Warning from Admin : do not mention this name here ! - - -  told members that it would RV at $3.41 on July 13th and it was "confirmed" and "Done Done Done", which had members dancing in the streets and celebrating, thinking they were instant millionaires. Some of us members who knew this wasn't possible, warned members to stay grounded, despite what their so called leader was telling them. Come Monday, July 13th the foolish members who celebrated were in a complete state of shock now. For us who voiced our concerns and proposed changes to avoid this in the future, well we were banned by their cowardly Warning from Admin : do not mention this name here ! - - - , as his foolish and embarrassed followers surrounded and consoled him for his error. This has become such a cult-like group, following their so called leader who only allows moderator approved questions and bans anyone who dare question his sources and rumors. It is ridiculous that this is even allowed in todays world- IMHO.

In all honesty, I don't think there will ever be an "RV," where the value of the dinar will instantaneously increase by a tremendous amount through some government decree.  I think that the Dinar will gradually, naturally increase in value relative to the US dollar over time, as the security and economic conditions in Iraq continue to improve.  I would love to be surprised by waking up one morning and suddenly finding out that my investment has instantaneously skyrocketed in value, but this seems counterintuitive, and is just wishful thinking.  I have said in the past that there is no evidence that economic success in Iraq would logically result in an "RV," and that it is a leap of faith on our part, really, to think so.

nickyd, I agree with you,  in reality for Iraq to pay for RV  even as an example of $1 to dinar they will have to back it with several trillion Dollars to pay off everyone.  That alone is impossible since Iraq does not have even a fraction of that in Dollar reserve.

Some people think that all Iraq has to do is to announce RV and the money will appear out of nowhere,  or they claim Iraq has the money "Under Ground"  in Oil assets.

I know of no bank teller that will hand you Dollars just because a country has oil underground.

So any way you look at it, logically a sudden RV is impossible even if you take smaller RV numbers like .33  etc.....

As you said,  I wish (like all of us) to be surprised one day with a nice RV,  but for that to happen I give the same odds as winning the lottery.

i hate to be the bad guy here...(no i dont)...but i think it will RV over a buck...maybe more...as was pointed out ...too low a RV will bring guys like george soros out ...with 50 Billion dollars to purchase dinars...and lots of others we dont even know...and THEY will make a fortune...so it has to roll out and stay at a VALUE...not .33 cents a dinar...something close to the rest of the countries that deal in oil...the GCC, who have been talking about their own money in a couple of years...based on , you guessed it...OIL...so lets see...kuwait dinar is @ 3.22  USD per dinar, saudi is @ 3.11  USD per dinar quatar, yemen, lybia, are @ 2.50-3.00  USD per dinar...SO iraq has to be close...(hint) iraq wanted to borrow  5.5 Billion from the IMF, and they said ok...what is your dinar going to be worth?...they said 1.00 USD...and the IMF said , no...thats too low to pay us back in 5 years...not enough...raise it up....so ...I think...look for a $ 2.00-3.00  USD rate at least...some rumors have leaked out to $ 3.41...who knows...its iraq

So what happens when it does come out at over $3 Amylisa? are you going to eat your words on here?? youve been nothing put pessimistic the whole time------especially when you ran Warning from Admin : do not mention this name here ! - - -  and everyone else with good intel off------TOO BAD so SAD for you and everyone on here.   Were going to find out real SOON  !!!!!  We will see WHO IS correct...............

Early Retirement,  there will be not one person on this site that will be "sad"  if it goes to $3.  including Amylisa I am sure.

You must also admit that if someone say every month that an RV will happen, than eventually after a period of several years it will happen for sure sometime in the future. Like someone that predicts an earthquick year after year,  an earthquick is guarantee to happen.

We all want an RV just like you,  the point is that some people look at things in a more realistic way. 

Every year or so I have seen a new "Guru"  with fresh followers.
 
So far in REALITY (year after year ) since 2004  all of those that screamed about RV happening "tomorrow"  based on Rumors,  they all been wrong  100% ,   that is a fact.
